ZeenX is a navigation app for Iraq and Kurdistan. We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use tracking.
Your location is used on your device to show the map, plan routes and give directions. To get a route or search, the app sends start and end points to our routing and search servers; these requests are not linked to your identity and are not stored after the answer is sent.
When you report something (traffic, accident, checkpoint, etc.) we store the report type, location and time so other drivers can see it. Reports expire automatically. Each report is tied only to a random, hashed device ID — never your name, phone number or Apple ID.
If you add a photo to a road report, the photo is uploaded and shown with that report, and deleted when the report expires. Photos are only taken when you choose to add one.
Questions you type or speak to ZeenX AI are sent to our server to get an answer, together with your approximate location so results are nearby. Voice is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition. We do not use your questions for advertising or link them to your name.
If you choose to share a trip, your live position is sent to a temporary link until the trip ends or you stop sharing. It is deleted afterwards.
The first and last name you enter when you start the app are stored with a random device ID so we can show them in your profile and with feedback you send. You can sign out in Settings to remove them.
Only if you allow it, while you navigate the app sends anonymous speed samples, places where you stopped for a while, and how long trips took compared with the estimate. They are tied only to a hashed device ID, never your name, and are used to find busy roads for everyone. Speed samples are deleted after 30 days, stops and trip times after 60 days. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy.
While you drive, the app can notice sharp bumps using the phone's motion sensor and send the location of the bump, tied only to a hashed device ID. A pothole is shown to others only after several different phones report the same spot. These points are deleted after 60 days. You can turn this off in Settings.
If you send feedback, we store your message, your name, app version and language, and any screenshots or videos you attach, so we can fix the issue. You can ask us to delete it by email.
Weather is fetched for the area shown on the map. Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap and map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Saved places, recent searches, settings and trip history are stored only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
ZeenX is not directed at children under 13.
You can turn off location access in iOS Settings at any time. To ask us to delete reports linked to your device ID, email us.
